85NAPZ
What's up guys,am officially the new guy here and in need of some advice. I recently swapped the auto tranny with a manuel 5spd out of another 85. Over all the swapp went good with no problems. After getting everything tightened up I jumped in and tried to crank her up but she wouldn't turn over.I noticed that when I turned the key to the start position I can hear the fuel pump runing and light on instrument panel light up. I checked battery connection and all fuses are good. Then I noticed one f the wires that leads to the positive battery terminal was burn. the wires located right behind the battery and is aside two other identical white plugs. Is their any relays or wireing I must bypasss or plug in due to the.swapp? Thanks for the help guys Quote Link to comment
qwik510
I know on the later D21 trucks, there is a clutch safety switch that requires the clutch to be engaged before the starter will get juice. Did you hook this up? It may be the neutral safety wire from the automatic harness. Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
Welcome. I would say it might be your fusible link, but your instrument panel lights up. Second on the neutral safety switch. Quote Link to comment
