digital 300zx clusters

i was at a junkyard the other day and came across 2 that had these dashes. i was curious how rare these were and if there is an aftermarket for them. i personally think they look pretty cool and would hate to see them get crushed if there are people out there that want them.

I had a record of Betty. But no longer have the little phonograph player.

 

Do these dashes require special senders? A control box/computer, or is it all built into the cluster?

Not that rare. Came as an option along with digital climate control on GLL Z31s. They get speed info from a speedo cable, which turns a little encoder, and there is some other info that comes from the throttle position sensor too. You would need the power supply unit as well as the gauge cluster.
