stilltwisted Posted June 4, 2008 Report Share Posted June 4, 2008 i need some help on how to build one of these,, im starting to collect the parts for this eng. {q1} does the stock L16-L18 oil pan fit fit this eng. or do i need an hybred pan and oil pump pickup? {q2} is the L20b front cover a strait bolt on with an early head like (a87-u67) ?{q3} do any of the water or oil ports need to be moved to get the head gasket to seal ? ,,, thanks for any and all imput Quote Link to comment
hang_510 Posted June 4, 2008 Report Share Posted June 4, 2008 q1) yes. use the corresponding p/u q2) yes q3) not moved, but 7X 5/16" (coolant)holes should to be added on the plug side of the block, and 1-2 enlarged. use a new HG as a template. im about to perform Q3 myself there should be more details on the510realm if you search there. i may have some extras at this point, if something is needed Quote Link to comment
