tdb.bower
Hey, new to the forum. A buddy of mine recently picked up a 82 210, i being more familiar with toyota engines (3tc/4a all that good stuff) was looking for a little insight on what would be a good route to take for adding a little more power to his car. I had suggested swapping in a 3tc but he had asked me to figure if there was a way to get a good bit of power out of what i think is a a14? engine. I had browsed around the forums and couldnt seem to find much a of a build for this particular model, i was also confused as to if this is considered a 310 by a post i had read on here. All comments greatly appreciated, id love to see his Dat go against my Corolla someday. Thanks Quote Link to comment
Eagle_Adam
if anything its a b310 or a 210 - just not a b210. (when ordering parts call it a 210) Its confusing i know, it took me a bit. Your best bet for more power is a motor swap or a set of side draft carbs Quote Link to comment
tdb.bower
Whats a pretty common motor swap for these cars? As i said a 3tc will definitely fit and shouldnt be to much of a hassle but i never like switching up makes, can get confusing when it comes to wiring and what not. Quote Link to comment

ggzilla
you can get 150 hp out of an A14, but only by spending $$$ Toyoda 3T is sometime swapped in. More often is the 4A. But the 2.4 liter Nissan engines go right in: 16-valve KA24DE or the lowpower Z24. You can use 100% bolt-in parts, no custom driveshaft needed. Quote Link to comment
