Fitz
I've got this A15 that's a little, well, old looking. I also have my A14 with the thrown rod that is in great metallurgical condition. What can I swap back and forth on these engine? I'm assuming the intake/exhaust manifolds, but what about valve covers? Flywheel? Quote Link to comment
DRIVEN
Pretty much everything is interchangeable. The intakes may vary depending on head port design but will physically bolt on. Quote Link to comment
LeviGideon
Almost everything should be interchangable. Cylinder heads are compatiblle, valve covers, the flywheel should bolt right up, but I've never had to deal with that so I'm not 100%. If the block on the A15 is good, I say use it and swap some of the better parts from the A14 onto it. The A15 has a bigger displacement than the A14 (7% bigger) so naturally, it has more potential for power. More info regarding A-series engines here. And for the different heads used on A-series engines, go here. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
A15 uses 100% A14 parts, except for crankshaft & pistons which are unique. It is simply a stroked A14. Like any engine there were yearly variation that do not interchange with previous year. Mainly piston/head/manifold combination. Quote Link to comment
