720 king cab rear jump seats

SHORTDOG

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, i just picked up a set of rear jump seats and i wanted to see how these seats are installed, my truck didn't come with them originally so i don't have the holes punched out in the rear panels or carpet. Does anybody know if the mounting holes are under the factory carpet??

Can someone do me a favor and post up a few pics of their rear seats and show where they are (and how they) are bolted down?? also if you could include pics of the rear seat belts also...that would help alot.

Thanks guys! thumbsup.gif

Not all KC's came with jump seats...most did but not all, not base models...they were an option just as A/C & Power steering were as well....guess what, my truck don't have those either! :hmm: That's okay because i am doing some ST upgrades to it!

I'd appreciate a pic if you could...Thanks!

someone replaced the carpet in mine taking out and covering the holes for the jumpers. what i did, crawl under the truck where the back seats go, youll see 2 sets of 4 bolt holes, matching the pattern on the seats. i just used 3" wood screws and drove them through the carpet from under the truck, then used a razor knife to cut the carpet around the holes.

another issue you may find, there may be bolts in the holes already, to plug them up. push down on the carpet to feel for the heads of the bolts, and cut around them. i had to do that for 3 of the holes in my truck.

Well here's an update:

I saw that there was a single screw in the rear corner of the king cab holding the carpet down so i just unscrewed it and pulled up the carpet from the corners and i found the holes. They were covered by some sort of round sticker material from the factory but when i pulled off the sticker cover...there they were, threaded and all ready to go!....Sweet! I aslo went ahead and popped out the cut outs where the back rests mount and the seat belt holes as well and they were threaded and ready to go too!....Nice!

Now to find some 12mm bolts to mount the seats down.
