SRSANDS
I have a 72 510 four door that I have found myself addicted to working on out in the garage every single night. I figured at this pace if I keep this up ity may look ok in oh 5 years...ha ha its a rust bucket but I like it. Anyways I was looking at the suspension tonight and it just doesnt sit low enough for me. It kinda has that old school 70's stoner drag race car stance and it has to go. It has technic suspension springs in the front and rear. What can I do to get it lower? Iceshouse mentioned a certain cars struts that fit but I cant recall. Can somebody tell me what to look for in the wrecking yards or speed shops that I can buy for a direct replacment that will work? 200sx struts? I want it low...let me know Quote Link to comment
damon
1979 to 1983 280zx struts will lower the front. but the spring perch has a larger diameter so you need to cut off the perches and either go with coilovers or weld on the 510 perch. Quote Link to comment
Icehouse
When you weld the perch back on test fit the wheel and weld it a half inch above the tire. It will sit nice and low that way :D Quote Link to comment
