Siqx20 Posted May 18, 2012 Report Share Posted May 18, 2012 So i guess its time to fill you all in as to where i have been as of late... well it started with a subaru brat that was occupying my time... that didnt last long... All i really want is a nice DD while the 620 is getting heavily modified. Then out of noware my buddy offers to sell me this 89 325i that he has owned for the last 3 years that i have been drooling over. So of coarse i jumped right on it! Its a great runner and has been a joy to drive. It has a number of bugs that need to be sorted out, all of which i have been doing. The nice thing about it is that it doesnt hinder me from driving it. Mostly its putting stuff back together and finishing things he started. so far... I replaced a window motor, tinkered with the locks, put the interior back together, replaced a carrier bearing, did some simple maintenance, finished modifying the e36 seats he has in the car, changed out the seat belts for black ones, installed a stereo, and cleaned it all up a bit. I mostly just plan on getting this running solid and enjoying driving it. Its sole intent is to be a DD. I have some 1/4'' wheel spacers i might throw on there. still debating. mostly for looks and the spacers were free haha. Pics! couple hipster instagram pics: normal non hipster pics (dont mind the white paint on bumper.... pulled to close to my garage. just hadn't wiped the paint off.) Car is mostly stock, has a cone filter which im getting rid of and going back to a stock air box, custom exhaust, e36 interior bits here and there, and TSW wheels. Enjoy! Let me know what you think! Im spending alot of time tinkering on it getting everything put back together and working. Its been fun. Hopefully I will be able to get the brat sold and out of the garage in the next couple of days. had a couple ppl call on it wanting to come look at it tomorrow. *crosses fingers* Then I can go back to working on the Datsun. Siqx20 Posted June 6, 2012 Author Report Share Posted June 6, 2012 Well i installed a stereo, wired the amps, put a sub in, Installed rear seat belts, made adapters to go from e30 seats to e36. would like to find some sports soon but comforts will do for now i guess. did some all around cleaning of the interior. I still have speakers and some tweeters i want to install. trying to think of a clean way of upping the speaker size in the kick panels and rear shelf. Once all the stereo is in it will have 2 focal tweets, 2 5" focals in the kick panals, and 2 6 focals on the shelf, 1 1000 watt Alpine mono amp for the sub, 1 500 watt Alpine 4 channel amp to power the speakers, a 12" MTX sub, and a kenwood deck Pretty much just been driving it. Took this in the middle of wiring. all the wires are tucked and tidy Quote Link to comment
