Clem510 Posted May 1, 2012 Report Share Posted May 1, 2012 put new coilovers, camber plates, 280zx struts on friends 510, when we pulled his wheels of we found out that he already had "big brakes" same calipers and rotors and 280zx....so i got those for free...... heres the weird part. we put them on my car... the spot where the spring sits- same diameter as stock 510. sucked the wheels in about 3/4" on each side. my strut insert that was about an inch to short for the stock strut fit perfect. lowered car about an inch, i.e. shorter strut tube. ALSO gave me + camber. Do 280zx struts give you + camber? what are these from? not a very good pic but you get the idea. Quote Link to comment

hobbes_the_cat Posted May 2, 2012 Report Share Posted May 2, 2012 I have heard that a rare few 280zx struts have a different spindle angle. No one seems to have documented why certain ones are different. Looks like you need some camber plates now. That should fix it. Quote Link to comment
