HRH Posted April 27, 2012 Report Share Posted April 27, 2012 Has anyone had any luck finding lower balljoints for 1968-70 510 steering arms? Specifically .515ish top taper, .575ish bottom taper? Trying to order balljoints for a car my Datsun guru is working on, keep getting the later model much larger balljoints. Quote Link to comment
HRH Posted April 27, 2012 Author Report Share Posted April 27, 2012 Well, in case anyone runs into this, apparently 555 is the only company making them anymore. I finally got a tech on the line back east who knew what he was doing, found the right diameter taper info. So I ordered the last two out of Pennsylvania. There were 11 on back order, I'm guessing they're not that popular. However, unless you've put on a replacement steering arm or one from 1970 and later, you're going to need them to work with your early steering arm. Anyway, should be here in about a week, which will be very nice. Part number is 260-1173 in case anyone was wondering. Quote Link to comment
