411 Flexplate Question

Anybody know the sequence the spacer ends up in relation to flexplate (borg warner 35 auto) and do the bolts use washers to attach the flex plate to the torque converter?

The end spacer with the lip around the outer edge should slip over the end of the crankshaft, then the flex plate and then the other flat disc spacer behind to sandwich it.

 

All crankshaft bolts I know of have a wide shoulder to take the place of a washer. Washers are advised if you don't hav the proper bolts.

No idea, I can give you the part number for the L16 BW-35 auto bolts.

Would you know if these torque settings you posted in 09 for a 78 L20b are correct for 1967? Thanks again.....Mike

Drive plate (or flex plate) to crank bolt torque................. 101-116 ft. lbs.

 

Drive plate to torque converter........................................ 29-36 ft. lbs

Does this look correct? and should I use a little blue locktight?

Probably fine but couldn't hurt. Be sure to bend those locking tabs over so the bolts can't turn.
