I also have a 76 for parts, but it hooks up different than the 78 I am putting in a pic for some help also. I am in Washington state. datzenmike Posted March 16, 2012 Report Share Posted March 16, 2012 That's called the tension rod. It supports the lower control arm (LCA) and sort of triangulates it, preventing it swinging forward and back when hitting obstacles. '78 and '79 are the same. Link to comment
