datsunaholic Posted April 25, 2008 Report Share Posted April 25, 2008 The big issue is the main bearings are smaller in the L16, so either the block would have to be linebored to use the L20B bearings or the crank main journals turned down. The other issue is the increased stroke exceeds the block deck of the L16. Shorter rods will reduce that, but that increases side load on the pistons and will wear the bores out faster. There's a reason the L20B was built with a taller deck. Quote Link to comment
