d510addict Posted March 3, 2012 Report Share Posted March 3, 2012 Hi all I want to measure my swipe pattern as I will be changing the valve train geometry of my head and I was wondering what I need to do to remove and install the rockers while the cam i still in place? I googled forever and found nothing so now I'm asking you all. I also am wondering what the stock lash pad thickness is? Quote Link to comment
datsunaholic Posted March 3, 2012 Report Share Posted March 3, 2012 Assuming the head is still on the engine? Cam lobe facing away. Take wire spring retainer off. Adjust the valves all the way to the loose side, then pry the end off the ball socket. You may want to have a towel over the springs to catch the lash pad when it launches, though.
