No mods yet, still the way I got it from the PO. I'm just trying to get the thing running right again. I'm hunting some demons and am looking for some help.

The PO was trying to run it without any oil in the domes of the carbs so first thing I did was rebuilt the carbs and oiled them up, changed the fuel filter and did an oil change. The motor ran great for a bit and then started to shit on me. When it reached temp it would crap out and sound like its on 3 cylinders. I'd let it cool down and it would be good again until it heated up. I also noticed fuel pooling on the fender. Coming from my front float bowl.

Since Then I have reset the floats, re seated the needles in the carbs, checked that my needles weren't bent, checked that I'm getting a good fuel flow all the way through, checked the ignition coil, ballast resistor, checked the distributor cap and rotor, got a new ignition condensor, new spark plugs (showed signs of lead fouling and carbon fouling), new plug wires.

That's all that I can remember right now. I know my tank needs a flush but I am still getting good flow out of it. Next step is to see if the fuel pump is still working but if it's on it's way out or give up and let somebody who knows more about U20s take a look at it.

forgot to mention, its a U20 with SU carbs

Can anyone else think of something to check out?
