Looks like standard height to me.

Where at in NC? I have a couple sets of rims.

Performance wise... It's got the f'd up w58 smog head. Ultra tiny (compared to earlier) steel sleeved exhaust ports. Find a better head for it.

Getting more power from that engine is all about making it breathe! Good carb and exhaust. Stock hitachi carb can be a bitch. Webers are a good upgrade that can use the stock manifold. Also several single and dual sidedraft carb conversions possible. Browse the forums and find something you like. I'm currently working on mechanical injection for mine.

And find a nice 5 speed. Better performance and mpg than the auto.

I been looking at the SR20Det installations, would that be a better idea? Just ditch the current engine and put the SR and a five speed? Oh and the current engine is in need of rings it smokes like a washed up hooker.

just remember to stay outta the classifieds

Ollz I don't know if you saw the thread but the op was tweakin. I was antagonized! laugh.gif

Speaking of which we're gumming up this mans build thread biggrin.gif

Anyways.

Is this thing running and driving? Whats the odometer have on it?

Ok see that post now.

That would be a great swap. I'm sure it's been done and documented here. Also Z22-24 etc and KA engines.

It smokes even after it's warmed up? bummer. Full rebuild on that L20B will run about 350$ in parts. Can find a swap for that if you look hard enough.

heres cars with sr20de (just add turbo)

the odometer has 80k on it

the engine will fire up but smokes as I said :) it runs way on the rough side however but I do have a new carb from the previous owner to put on it so I can drive it till I gather my parts.

So a engine and 5 speed should be available for less then 500? That is great I also want to blast the sheet metal, and frame and fix rust and paint it, I have my paint scheme already :) from another thread here.
