spottedog
I need to know what size primary main jet and secondary main jet are used on a Hitachi DCR342 carb. I am setting up a "basket case" Hitachi carb for use on a stock Z24, the jets were gone when I got it so I need the factory jet sizes as a starting point to set this carb up for use. Thanks for any input! Quote Link to comment
spottedog
On a L20B the main would be 104 and 145 secondaries. On my LZ24 (Frankenstein) engine, 140 main and 160 secondary is working well. Yep, I answered my own post  Maybe this will help somebody ? (Correction to my original post, I am pretty sure this Hitachi carb is from a Z22) Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
yes, the carb will run OK on a wide variety of jets. The factory jets probably aren't the best for performance. But someone should have the 720 factory service manual which lists the jets Nissan used. Quote Link to comment

ggzilla
Funny how 4x4 is jetted 4 sizes richer than standard. Maybe because of decreased aerodynamics? Quote Link to comment
