lil89ram50
hey guys, so i went to drive my truck about 2 minutes ago. started up and noticed dash lights not working. checked all the lights, and found the tail lights and brake lights not to be working either. i just scrubbed the engine bay down rea good a couple days ago. i did check all fuses and cleaned them, i dont have any here to replace them with or i would do so, maybe i will go get some new ones just to be safe and not oover look simple mistakes. anythink else obvious to look for? MicroMachinery
They are all on a common circuit, so I'd re-check the fuses and their connections in the fuse block(It's happened to me before, too). Also, you might take the fuse block out and make sure the wires underneath aren't corroded. If there's corrosion, soak it in vinegar. Quote Link to comment
lil89ram50
yes it ended up being fuses i went and shot em with a little brake cleaner, and they started to work. i need to find some time to clean this. i have been busy cleaning/fixing/ restoring many little things at a time on this truck. i guess this is next on the mega long list Quote Link to comment

'70 521 L16
never tried lemon juice but vinegar overnight will do the trick fine. be careful not to break it like i did mine. they can be stuck with 40 year old grime. (i made a rhyme.) Quote Link to comment
lil89ram50
the vinegar will break them? or just handling them wrong? any methods you guys find work to get these rusty ass little screws out? Quote Link to comment
