iminthrgaragedear
Anyone have a source for wheel spacers? I'd like to try chev or older Xterra rims and am concerned that I'll need them for the 521. Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
Why concern? Just don't get anything with too much positive offset, and you'll be fine. Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
Why concern? Just don't get anything with too much positive offset, and you'll be fine. He has heard of the hub problem on the Titan wheels, which might also mean other wheels. Quote Link to comment
hessianben
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/4-Toyota-4Runner-6-lug-Wheel-Spacers-Adapters-1-5-/280475354975?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item414da2475f#ht_1568wt_1167 remember that you CAN NOT use these with any kind of steel wheels- has to have a machined flat wheel mounting surface. ... but also- you can skip machining the hubs on Titans, Escalades ect... because these adapters give enough clearance. iminthrgaragedear
Yeah, not sure what will fit til I try it. Has anyone used Isuzu Trooper or Xterra (15 or 16) wheels? The 521 I picked up last week has an unusual staggered slot setup. Wider deep dish 14's on the front( 8") and narrower 15s on the back. I'll put them up in classifieds when I find my wheels. Tires are rotten, so I'm looking to upgrade now, before I get it on the road. Picked up this 71' barn find with a trans stuck in 4th gear for $100. It's not perfect, but very nice compared to many I've seen so far. Motor's running great after a six year nap. I'll try and get some photos in the 521 forum soon. I found a trans and am gathering bits to get it running and looking just right. Thanks for your help here guys. Quote Link to comment
hessianben
Ive been using those adapters on my 521 for 2 years now. no problems. if the xterra or trooper wheels are mags, they'll work fine. Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
You should get some pics up. Both of the 521 and your wheel setup. We here at Ratsun like pictures. If you can't get Datsun pics up, we like pics of boobs too. :P Quote Link to comment
