ddrum Posted August 17, 2011 Report Share Posted August 17, 2011 ok so i bought this 1972 datsun 620 and it has an L16, it came with a 5 speed tranny and ive been observing it and it has a 8 L on the side of the tranny, I dont know what this means but i have been trying to find out what it came off of but i cant find anything. Is there a code number on it somewhere? if so where should i look? oh by the way, my truck has two driveshafts is that what they ussually came with? sorry for asking noob questions, just trying to learn. datzenmike Posted August 17, 2011 Report Share Posted August 17, 2011 Is reverse above first? If so you have a '7-'79 200sx dogleg 5 spd. R 2 4 1 3 5 If you look on the passenger side tailstock near the reverse light switch there will be 63A embossed on it. Quote Link to comment
