No no no. I'm looking at the 1981 Datsun 210 Factory Service Manual in front of me, and it says this:

Valve Clearance

(Hot) mm (inch)

Intake: 0.35 (0.014)

Exhaust: 0.35 (0.014)

Nissan recommeneded 0.35 from 1971. In early 1971 they listed 0.25 but there was a Technical Service bulletin that said stop using 0.25.

That's for a stock cam. If you have an aftermarket cam, it can specify even more clearance or sometimes less. Use the recommendation of your cam vendor.

0.25 is a little tight for the cold clearance. Nissan only recommends adjusting it Hot, but if you do it cold, use 0.33 mm (0.013 inch) @ 65 degrees.

The Cold clearance needs to be tighter than Hot clearance because the aluminum head and the steel valvetrain expand at different rates. With the A-series engine, the difference difference between Cold (65 degrees) and Hot (180 degrees) is only 0.03 mm or 1-thousands inch.
