pascualid
Any thoughts on this carb for a 620 needing one? Thank you. Quote Link to comment
Guest DatsuNoob
I got a weber 34/34, and although the linkage is slightly different, It works great! Why be like everyone else with a 32/36? Not that much different though. Both butterflies are the same size rather than one small and one larger, they open up one at a time just like a 32/36. Big improvement over the stock hitachi. I just bent the linkage bracket a little in the right direction and it worked out fine. Nothing wrong with a 34 34 in my book, had to barely grind the adapter plate holes for clearance on the butterflies, and that's it. Quote Link to comment

datsunfish
From what I have seen, for the most part all jap trucks came with the same carb bolt pattern.A Aisan carb from a Mazda b2000 will fit the Hitachi spacing for a Datsun. All adapters for a weber I have pulled fit a Datsun. From Mazda, courier, and even a s10 I think... I dont see a pic of the solex 34/34 but I think I know what it is.Dodge used Solex for alot of their carbed rigs. One might be a 2 barrel jetted for a 318 and another for a 4 banger. I met a guy recently who is a carb specialist and he told me that instead of a weber or Holley knockoff I could use a Rochester 2gc carb.It is a 2 barrel in the area of a dges.He said they work great and are easy to adapt. He said to do some research first as those also come on v8s so I think they would need to be re jetted.
