HRH
So I was poking around in the NAPA computer today trying to see if there were different igniters for 240/D21/Stanza, etc. I found that the Altima dohc use a TP228, yet it also lists that same part for GA16s, VG30s, and for the 1990-1992 Stanza, which should have the KA sohc in it, not the dohc. And interestingly enough, the D21 and 240sx with sohc show a TP233. The modules are identical, with the exception one is black and one is gray if I remember right. I called the technical hotline which was a waste. They couldn't tell me advance curves or anything, they just reiterated what was in the book. Any electrical/Nissan geniuses know the difference here of the two ignition control modules? I'll probably try and get one at the wrecking yard to try. I'm curious to know how it would affect the running of the engine, and whether there is one that will improve the top end since my KAZ24 cam is slightly advanced from the head milling.
