ggzilla Posted April 29, 2011 Report Share Posted April 29, 2011 If it now has lost compression on all cylinders, probably the mechanical timing is off. Re-check the chain and pulley positions. Don't go by the marks on the chain but verify the marks on the pulleys. Quote Link to comment
izzo Posted April 29, 2011 Report Share Posted April 29, 2011 Did you clean the head surface off really good, as well as the block surface? As well as throw a straight edge on the head to make sure it wasn't warped? Id try ggzilla suggestion first. with piston 1 at TDC, the cam lobes should be at 4 and 8 oclock position. Line up tdc on the timing mark on the crank pulley then check your front two cam lobes. this will give you some idea if the mechanical timing is off Quote Link to comment
