JP521 Posted April 7, 2011 Report Share Posted April 7, 2011 Hi everyone!!! I own a datsun 521, the rear suspension is completely of factory (leaf springs and shock absorbers) but is very rigid. DanielC Posted April 7, 2011 Report Share Posted April 7, 2011 It is a truck. A little truck designed to carry a lot of weight for its size, and weight. The springs are designed to hold up the maximum load. It you never load your truck that much, you could make the springs softer, and that will reduce the harshness of the ride. But you will not be able to carry as much weight. The shock absorbers do not hold up any weight. They just stop the springs from rebounding and bouncing as much, but you could gain something by changing them. But remember it is a truck. Quote Link to comment
