SHAMUS'WAGON Posted March 31, 2011 Report Share Posted March 31, 2011 Rustina gave me an L16 automatic tranny for helping him get it out of his project car. Now this other guy asked me if I want his automatic out of his 2nd gen 240sx. I've been told that the bell housings are swapable, and wanted to try bolting it up to my L16. But I don't want to end up with two junk transmissions sitting around my garage if it turn out not to be accurate information. Has anyone tried this already? I tried to search the forum, but didn't come up with much. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike Posted March 31, 2011 Report Share Posted March 31, 2011 The bells look the same but I think the L is slightly longer front to back. Also the 240sx one is slightly longer by an inch? Check it out and let me know. The 5 bolt flex plate won't allow the 240sx torque converter to bolt to it. Different shape. Quote Link to comment
