datzenmike
No such thing. The flywheel, clutch disc and the pressure plate have no bearing on what transmission is run behind it. If your L18 has a flywheel on it then you can run any 5 speed that will bolt to the motor. Generally most L18s had a 200mm flywheel, by 200mm I mean this is the bolt pattern that will support a 200mm diameter clutch and pressure plate. The late '73- '74 620 L18 used a 225mm flywheel but this is quite rare to find. Also the L18 flywheel (and the L16 before it) mounts to the crankshaft with 5 bolts. Don't confuse it with the 6 bolt L20B flywheels. Ah I see you have a '73 L18 and probably a 4 speed. If so a later 620 or 280z/zx 5 speed will fit right on with no mods at all. Link to comment
chopderek
Thanks for the info! Maybe the 5 speed I have might just bolt up with just changing the clutch disk from 4 speed to 5. Link to comment

There's no such thing as a 4 or a 5 speed clutch. Forget about it. Post a picture of the 5 speed that you have. Link to comment
