HRH
Started searching the web for Mr. K after reading about Shinichiro Sakurai. I knew Katayama was old, but I didn't realize he was quite this old. This is a great article, showing that of all people, he still holds the "Datsun" philosophy true to his heart. If only Nissan corporate could fully embrace his ideas. "It should be simpler." http://www.racer.com/at-home-with-mr-z/article/160823/ Quote Link to comment
Conan
Really enjoyed that article, I share his view of datsun, which brought me to why to get a datsun; simplisity. I can't stand extra wires and like to keep things simple. A car is to drive from A to B, reliably. Electric locks, windows, massage chairs etc. isn't what i need, and isn't what i want to spend time and money repairing as almost everything fails at some point..... have to admit that seat heat would be nice here in the winter though.... Quote Link to comment
LenRobertson
Cool article. Thanks for posting the link. I'm a little concerned though. If I live to be 100 like Mr. K, maybe I'd better stock up on more Datsun parts at Pull n Save. I sent the link to a friend of mine back East. He replied "now if it just wouldn't have rusted out in the blink of an eye..." I think he is still sore, cause he bought a brand new 240Z from Jaremko in Spokane. And eventually the rust got it. I send him Datsun related links now and then, hoping he will get nostalgic and buy another 240. Len Quote Link to comment
