Its a A87 head closed chamber round intake square exaust I have not measeured anything my bad. Just not really sure what or why that stamp would be there...:huh: Quote Link to comment
datzenmike Posted January 7, 2011 Report Share Posted January 7, 2011 The only important thing is the embossed A-87 on it. This identifies the head. A mold is used to shape the sand casting cavity. Naturally one mold would never keep up with production so dozens if not hundreds are made. Each would be numbered so if a flaw is found or a revision added later, possibly it even means closed chamber, and the head can be identified specifically where and when it was made.
