Too many failed projects this weekend

Not a good weekend for ratsunfoo. I just wanted to address dash lighting and replace the 12v socket(can't call em cigarette lighters anymore don't want to offend:)) Instead I broke the bezel around HVAC controls and 2 posts that hold the tach in. So i epoxied the part near the heater and was able to reinforce the tach post(why does it have to be hollow all the way through) with a small piece of coat hanger, that's called pinning in my other hobbies. Cluster is still sitting on my floor waiting for brighter LED lights to get here. I also added a single LED into the tach since it doesn't use the wedge bulbs like the rest of the cluster, I'll post some pics of that later. Got angry at dashboard fiasco so decided to through in the pertronix I've had sitting on my shelf, thinking it would be straight forward but noOoOoo my goofy truck has the larger shoulder above the points eccentric, and with no access to a lathe I opted to returned the pertronix and got parts for the GM module conversion. ON the bright side I found that the large heatsinks off VW rabbits fits the GM modules with some trimming, holes line up and everything, I'll post those pics too.

http://i1122.photobu...gs/DSCN0408.jpg Drill in top of tach, right in center there is nothing pertinent there. http://i1122.photobucket.com/albums/l525/villegs/DSCN0410.jpg Pull the pins for power and ground out, power is red w/ silver stripe ground is red w/black stripe and note which on goes back where, the key to this is having a small poking device that u can push in the little catches on either side of the terminal, my camera isn't very good and that's the best I could picture, but one side is sorta visible. http://i1122.photobu...gs/DSCN0409.jpg Strip and wrap wires on, soldering would be best but.... http://i1122.photobu...gs/DSCN0407.jpg Duct tape cover is optional, don't want stray light behind the bezel, may or may not be visible. I'll add a lit picture when I get the bezel back in with new bulbs and such.
