68Datsun510
Hey folks, im not a fan of the air filters DGVs use, they are small, and right in the 'hot zone' as far as intake temps are concerned. Anyone ever try this? Quote Link to comment
Radim
Yup, i'm running one attached to a headlight funnel. Quote Link to comment
68Datsun510
How do you like its performance aspects? Quote Link to comment
Radim
Well the real reason i bought it was because of summer, there was a huge heatwave and the truck would act like a slug, the plenum came in during the heatwave and it drastically improved the performance of it when it during. When it was over i did notice an improvement in throttle response of course i can't give you numbers just a butt dyno. I work night shift near the beach and coming back from work at 11pm when the air is cold the truck runs suuuuper smooth. One thing is that since it's getting a lot colder air it runs a little lean so i have to change the jets. Plus, it sounds pretty badass with the funnel. EDIT: Oh and just a heads up don't buy the K&N one, buy the one from Pierce Manifolds i got it for 90 shipped and it's a K&N plenum without the powdercoat/polish for like 100$ less!!! Even has the K&N cast on it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/K-N-Universal-Plenum-Plenum-Chamber-Sngl-Weber-Dgav-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem19bef879e4QQitemZ110578137572QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories http://www.piercemanifolds.com/product_p/99217.090.htm Quote Link to comment
