My '67 WPL411 Restoration Project

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm new to Ratsun, and first wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone who posts such great advice, parts sources, and tips.

I have had the "Bumble Bee" ('67 411 Wagon) for many years. This is what I learned to drive a manual on in the 80s. I'm finally getting it back on the road after some years of being neglected on blocks in the garage, and wanted to share. A fair bit of mechanical work was already done to get her on the road again, so she's street legal already, but very tired. I've also redone much of the interior already.

Mechanically, she needs a new flywheel which will probably mean a new clutch since it'll make sense to do them at the same time. I'm more inclined to keep her as "original" as possible, but would sure like a little more power. At a minimum, I'll be looking to rebuild the engine at some point. She also needs a suspension overhaul, some re-wiring, and maybe a disc brake upgrade.

Quite a bit of of exterior cosmetic stuff needs to be taken care of. A few dents and dings, new paint job, and repairs to some rust problems you can see in the pics.

Here's a few pics, with one or two more at the Bumble Bee Gallery

Enjoy the pics!
