datzenmike Posted January 18, 2008 Report Share Posted January 18, 2008 Are the terminals on the wires fried too or just the fuse holders? I have a good one from a '78, six fuses and two four terminal plugs. Charging my camera, will post pix of it. Link to comment
laniadude Posted January 19, 2008 Author Report Share Posted January 19, 2008 well i just took a closer look at it...two of the terminals holding the fuses melted off the plastc. both on the postive side...the positive for the Headlight and the positive for the parking lights... then I removed the fuse box only to find that the plugs were melted also...well, only the parts that plugged into the two terminals that melted... So i also need the plugs for it too...Are complete wiring harnesses expensive?? Are there just harnesses for the dash?? or would I have to buy the whole harness assy? Link to comment
datzenmike Posted January 19, 2008 Report Share Posted January 19, 2008 I could include the plugs too, as long as the terminals on the ends of your wires are in good shape and will push on to the fuse terminals ok. If they aren't good they will cause resistance and get hot again. To get this dash I have I had to cut the harness over by the wiper. If I send you the fuse box I'll include several inches of wire so you can crimp some good connectors on to join it to your harness. What say you? Link to comment
