need help with a 73 620 5 speed swap

Hey folks i'm new to the Ratsun forum. so thanks in advance for any replies..

I have a 73 620 reg cab, reg bed, l16 4speed.

I also have a 5 speed from a later model 620. it seems to be a bit different than the current 4 speed.

besides having to relocate the mount, do i need to cut the drive shaft as well. (I have a split drive shaft)

Yes you will need a shorter front driveshaft. You can have it cut/welded and balanced or get one from a later truck that has the longer tranny/shorter driveshaft in it. You could also get and use the transmission mount, the cover plate for the floor shifter and the longer speedometer cable too.
