Gearheadcurt Posted November 1, 2010 Report Share Posted November 1, 2010 so I'm fixing to buy this truck I just worked on I helped him put in a 485 lift cam he has offered to sell it to me, and well I'm going to buy it has anyone put a 485 lift cam in a L20b, what does it do to it as far as power? and MPG? also has a 32/36 webber carb on it Quote Link to comment

I assume you used new bigger retainers and have different lash pads installed? a 485 cam should be good with a 38/38 weber or a sidedraft set up as these take better potential of the cam. I have a 475 with sidedrafts and put a weber 32/36 on there and I really cut the power down. I put my 40mm Mikunis back on. Quote Link to comment
