bananahamuck
Can`t find in manuals ..when you look through is it completely open cold or does is it somewhat closed at say 60 degrees outside??and does cracked injector insulators (the thick middle part) cause vacuum leak?? gotta miss but spark looks good and even ,also i did look on zcar archives Quote Link to comment
BunnySlippers
The injector insulators being broken or missing will not cause a vacuum leak. They are just there for securely mounting the injectors. And I believe the aux air regulator is open when cold, then completely closed when warm. If I remember correctly, it's a heated wire element that closes more as the wires heat up, thus closing the regulator. Quote Link to comment
bananahamuck
Thanks for the reply .Air regulator is supposed to be open when cold, but i was wondering how open,,is there a measurement?, wide open, crescent moon shape?? also it wasn`t the problem anyway "seamed" to be airflow meter, at least for now!! Me and this car have had a strained relationship since 1997.. Quote Link to comment
