Hello everyone. I am new to this forum. My father-in-law told me about y'all, so I had to join. A few days ago I bought a 1979 200sx from him. The car is pretty nice, with very little rust, mostly solid interior pieces and the motor purrs like a kitten...(it should since it only has 77,000 original miles on it) I would like to know about parts, more specifically where I could get them if I needed something from interior to exterior. My father-in-law said that there are parts from other cars like the 510 and 280 that would fit on the car. This is my first Datsun, but I am excited about it. I am currently restoring it. I have disassembled the interior totally (gutted it) I am going to be cleaning up the car thoroughly, going over it with a fine tooth comb and addressing any and all problems that may be wrong with the car. I want to keep it as stock as possible...I kinda like that retro look. I will be taking pics of the process, if anyone is interested I can post them for viewing. Welcome to ratsun, was your step dad on here as a member?

Theres alot of differnt sites you can get parts from, just depends on what your looking for. I get most my stuff from ebay,CL, RockAuto and the junk yard.Most the mechanical parts you can get from napa or any other parts store. The inrerior and body parts are the hard part. Im sure some datsun geek on here can list like every site that has parts but not me.
