320 diesel

I'm thinking of taking out my rotary motor in my bagged 320 and installing a diesel engine, does anyone have an input or any leads were I can get an eninge thanks

I am sure theres a bunch of L series motors in cali for cheap... put up a want ad in the Datsun Parts Wanted section.

 

hell you might, key word might, be able to find something free at least for a mock up.

check for a VW diesel, theres kits for a north south orientation in a samurai, Should work in a datto.

if you still planing on diesel engine be sure to get the the whole truck. You will need the pump control,glow plug control,charging system, transmission, the third member throttle cable. You will need to be handy with wiring because you going to have to take the whole wire harness out of the donor truck and separate the glow plug pump control charging system back up lights. Then you have to tie these systems into you existing wire harness on the 320. I don't know how much room you have under the hood of that 320, but going by what I have in my 520 it going to be a very tight fit. I hope you go for it! I would love to see a diesel 320.

Dang maybe I should just buy a diesel datsun truck and just bag and body drop that one lol
