Warner2k Posted February 10, 2009 Report Share Posted February 10, 2009 similar problem. i have a 71 510 wagon with a LZ22 and a dogleg 5 speed from a truck. this setup was running in another 510. when i installed it the guy didnt include the starter. i used the starter that was on my L18. it worked fine but ended up chewing up my flywheel. im assuming i need the starter out of a 2.2L ??? i have another flywheel from a 2.2L i just dont want to have this happen again. any help here would be great.
