Str8_69
My 77 620 has had mushy brakes since I got it. I've replaced front drums and shoes, adjusted front and rear, and flushed the entire system and bled, all new fluid throughout. When I pump the pedal when the truck is not running, I get pretty good pedal, but when I run the truck, pedal gets mushy again and needs pumped before rolling up to every stop. The master seems ok, no leaks, or air bubbles, no leaks anywhere else either. I'm wondering if the booster could be the problem? I've been working on old cars for years, but have never had a booster go bad on me, so I don't know the symptoms. Should I try a new master first? Any help appreciated... Quote Link to comment
motavated
I heard some one had a problem like this because they got there king pin setup rebuilt and they had the shoes on the wrong side? Does it stop good going reverse? Quote Link to comment
Str8_69
Ya, reverse is ok, same mushy-pump-up though. Quote Link to comment
