195sRFast
Does anyone know any way to change the oil pan gasket without pulling the engine? I was wondering if I could remove the frame member underneath? I have never seen it done so if you know how to do it, let me know. Quote Link to comment
datto510
With all of the work involved in just lifting the engine, you might as well pull the engine and di it right. You can replace the rear main seal while it is out too. Quote Link to comment
Pacific coast Datsun
Simply drop the crossmember under the pan. That "should" allow the pan to drop down enough to install the new gasket. Quote Link to comment
sdsurf
I changed mine without removing the engine or undoing the mounts. It was a pain but you can do it. Drop the pan as much as you can and slide it around under the crank. Quote Link to comment
