chumstone
My ignition switch is hard to get the key into. I saw a brand new one on ebay for a starting bid of $49. Anybody know what that ebay guy gets for a new one or does anyone have a good used one to sell. I want a good one as I hate not being able to get going fast! Thanks Link to comment

dat521gatherer
hard to get into? usually the key is sloppy easy at that age. maybe try some wd-40 or oil. has it always been hard or a gradual type of thing? Link to comment
chumstone
It's the last 3/16" thats not going in easy. I'll try some lock oil. The bid started at $49, so $75 might be what they sell for. They had a bunch of them. Rods Discount parts has them for $295 new:eek: Must mean Rod gets them at a discount:blink: Link to comment
hang_510
Must mean Rod gets them at a discount:blink: i always wondered how the name worked  the one on ebay @$49 is for a Z and has the steering lock on the wrong side, i dont think it swaps into a 510. Link to comment
ggzilla
Earlier this year, RockAuto was selling new cylinder with key for $20. Most of time, some key lube will solve these problem. I've worked on many cars where the key barely worked. After lube, almost like new. Link to comment
