Need help identifying this tranny

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, It's a tranny questions again, I bought this tranny for cheap .

What car/truck this (60) tranny is from ? And what year ?

Is it robust and can take torque from A15 motor ?

What are the ratios of this tranny ?

There is quite a bit of obvious rust I'm not sure about the internal parts, Is it a good idea

to rebuild the tranny ?

Pictures would help. Whats it out of? a B-210? What's it for do you think?

Early small A13 motors used the F4W56A 4 speed up to '74, while the '74-'78 A14 motors used the F4W60 4 speed. After '76 there was an FS5W63A dogleg 5 speed available... overkill strong for the A14. The A15 was available after '78 and there was an FS5W60L 5speed, two 4 speeds: F4W60 and F4W56A for the A14 and A12

I'm not very familiar with them all but with a picture maybe we can narrow it down a bit.

I donno but it is 5 speed remote shift (60) series maybe out from Vanette as the previous owner told me .

That round thing thing at the top back maybe a failed try to prepare the shifting mechanism .

Anybody has answers to my questions please ?

I thought of remote but have never seen one here in N Am. Did the remote come in 5 speed?? The place or person to ask is someone from Australia. They had the Vanette I believe and lots of 4 and 5 speed A engine transmissions.
