We've talked about this before. OK for straight ahead 1/4 mile. Rough for street use around corners (noise and tire wear) more and more dangerous, as speed increases around curves. If this was viable, all cars would have it.

I've had a welded diff in my car for almost 2 years now, and one in my truck since i've had it around a year now, i have had no accidents becuase of a welded diff... I've not had any accidents either but my point is that welded doesn't mean dangerous. People who don't know how to drive a vehicle that has a welded diff are dangerous.

Well that's sort of true, to a point. For you it works, but someone who borrows or steals it, or someone you sell it to, there would be a steep learning curve. I've driven (temperarily) with rear brakes only, but don't recomend it. It was safe only because I never had a panic stop situation.
