datzenmike
Over heating can be caused by all of the below: L head gasket on a Z series block... not all the holes are a match. thermostat: They are cheap, don't waste time and bother checking in hot water, just replace with a new one. fuel mixture too lean. retarded timing, ignition or cam. Poor water circulation: water level low a soft bottom hose will collapse when revved up. rad is filled with debris or corrosion inside. block or head is plugged with corrosion deposits. belt is slipping or loose. water pump is broken inside (unlikely) poor air circulation: clutch fan has failed and is not turning properly no fan shroud rad cooling fins are plugged with dirt, leaves, or bent.
