Pacific coast Datsun
If $$$ is an issue ["what is the cheapest way"] keep it stock & drive it. Most swaps dont get done, $$$ runs out & you lose motivation. Quote Link to comment

izzo
lol this question has been ran over about a half dozen times Find a 4x4 hardbody pickup and yank the motor out of it, along with wire harness and ecu. bolt it up to your 720 trans, hook up the 4 wires (check out the howto section for "How to wire a SR/KA to anything" thread). You will have to use different motor mounts i think? anyways, do that and your on the road. i would go with KA, a lot cheaper than SR from what i hear... good luck Quote Link to comment

izzo
the thing is im paying a shop to drop it in, so it will be FI, might as well turbo the thing is, kade is fuel injected... thats why i said grab the wire harness and ECU.. its only 4 wires to get it running. You will need a bigger fuel pump also now that im thinking about it. I think with SR you will have to custom make an oil pan, and sr is more expensive. KAde out of a 4x4 will have the right pan to clear your steering linkage and shit in the 720. i could be wrong about the SR, someone who knows SR should pipe up lol... Quote Link to comment

izzo
about what year for the motor to work and i can always turbo it ,do you know on the disk brakes for the rear out of what truck would bolt on any 90s hardbody/d21, not sure what year the fuel injection started, i think the first few years were throttle body. And not sure about the rear end. Quote Link to comment
