chumstone
The rear hatch has a bunch of rust at the bottom and goes up the right side a bit. I wonder if it could be fixed or should I look for a replacement. I've been looking at parts cars and the rear hatches look almost as bad. I have been looking at projects on this and other forums and it looks like most cars are totally striped and blasted. Is this necessary or can the interior be stripped out up to the dash, not the dash and the rest of the car done with out having to take out the engine and tranny and etc. I don't want to make this a show car, but I also don't want it to rust away. I would remove the chrome and grill and etc. I also have other rust to fix and I was wondering if anyone has a recomendation on some one who has fixed rust on these cars. I live in Wenatchee and can trailer it to the coast (what all oldtime eastern washingtonians call the Puget sound area). Thanks, Neil Quote Link to comment
