chavezYchavez
Guys, after replacing my rear wheel cylinders and new rear rubber line went to bleed the brakes and I be damn if there is now a slight leak on the metal line on the right rear. It is the very short metal line that goes from right rear wheel cylinder and connects to the rubber line about 6" long. I must have torqued it a little bit when removing wheel cylinder. Does anybody have a spare lying aorund they want to sell? Or will an auto store have the new metal line that I can just bend to match the old one? any help would be greatly appreciated. motavated
I broke mine.... You can make another its not that hard... You might need a brake pipe flare? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Use a tape measure to get a length and take a threaded end to an auto store to find a match. Buy the same or the next longer length. Tape the threaded ends to the ends when bending. I didn't once and the threaded end got behind a bend I was making and wouldn't slide past it. There are tube benders you can buy or just bend carefully around a hard round object like a baseball bat or a round of firewood. motavated
Man... Just buy on of these lines and call it good... You can bend it by hand and they cost a little more. WORTH IT! Its called poly-armour. Edited December 12, 2009 by Motavated Quote Link to comment
