banzai510(hainz)
weber 32/34 dft 9a sounds like a funky weber to me. Is the main barrel on the driver side. If so I wonder if the plte hits the upper part of the opening in the manifold. Most weber people get will be the 32/36DGV 5A, or DGEV or DGAV converted to a manual. this means the main barrel is next to the valve cover. if if you have one of those webers that like belongs on a French car the pull cable is set up different so make sure there is no sharp bends so the cable can pull back . as for the weber adjustment there is may sites to tell you how to adjust it. datsunaholic
The 32/34DFT was the only allowable non-factory carb in California, which is why some folks use it. Problem is they have to be installed backwards (they have provisions on the carb for the levers to be on either side). As for the problem, the DFT is VERY sensitive to vacuum leaks. If it's revving at 3000 no adjustment in the world is going to do anything, because it's either 1) the throttle isn't closing due to the cable being too tight 2) the throttle isn't closing because the linkage is binding on something, or 3) you have a massive vacuum leak at the base, generally caused be using an incorrect or old base gasket. The bases on these are "hollow" and don't form a very good seal, almost always requiring you to run some sort of spacer to get a good "crush" against. Quote Link to comment
