MicroMachinery Posted October 30, 2009 Report Share Posted October 30, 2009 I've nearly completed my quest of piecing my entire KA24DE swap together, and I'm ready to begin reconstruction of the engine itself. :D For anybody that has rebuilt one of these and run it for some time, what would you recommend for the gasket set/ rebuild kit for doing this? Yes, I know Nissan OEM would be ideal, but come on, I don't have $400 to throw to them. If I had the money, I would. But on a BUDGET, does anybody have good/bad experiences with certain brands? Which ones should I go for? Which ones should I avoid? Any help would be MUCH help. I'm leaning towards having my guys at NAPA order me one through their sources , but I just want to ask advice from anybody that has any kind of experience, good or bad, with any brand in particular. yello620 Posted October 30, 2009 Report Share Posted October 30, 2009 My L20b was assembled over four years ago with "rock" brand gaskets. I got them from R.J.templeton in Portland. Was very inexpensive too. The valve cover gasket was changed when i installedthe polished valve cover. That gasket came from Car Quest. Quote Link to comment
